John is SteegeThomson’s business manager, a role to which he brings a unique combination of skills in financial management and social service.
John became licensed as a certified public accountant in 1990 after working for KPMG in Los Angeles. He served as a financial manager for a variety of companies in the entertainment distribution sector, including Technicolor, where he took the lead in centralizing the financial management of the company’s information technology department. Upon relocating to Philadelphia in 2004, he worked for Project H.O.M.E. as a consultant and finance manager, streamlining the organizations budget process and helping implement their fundraising software.
After working in finance for almost 20 years, John pursued a passion for helping others and became licensed as a clinical social worker. Since 2009 he has worked in a variety of treatment settings including outpatient community mental health centers and inpatient residential treatment settings. He now wears two hats in his professional life as both the business manager for SteegeThomson and as a therapist in private practice.
John holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee and a Master of Social Service from Bryn Mawr College.
