The CASE District II Conference begins just as the Philadelphia International Auto Show (1) wraps up down the block at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Definitely worth a stroll for motor enthusiasts with a break on Sunday (9am to 6pm).

All winter you can get some skating in at the Dilworth Park Rothman Ice Rink (2next to City Hall. Open until 11pm Saturday, 8pm Sunday, and 9pm Monday & Tuesday.

Sports fan? The Philadelphia 76ers host the Los Angeles Clippers at the Wells Fargo Center (3) Monday night. The arena is easily accessible from the conference via the Broad Street Line subway. And if you have time during the day, take a tour of the Phillies' Citizens Bank Park (4) before baseball season returns.

Are jazz and spoken word more to your taste? World Cafe Live (5) in University City has great options for both throughout the conference.

The Franklin Institute (6) may be one of the country's oldest science centers, but nothing is outdated about this museum. Check out the "Live Science" demonstrations, hands-on activities, and an IMAX theater. During the conference will be the special "Lost Egypt" exhibit, featuring human and animal mummies, scans, and forensic facial reconstructions. Also on view is "Vatican Splendors," a celebration of the cultural and historic impact of the Vatican in honor of the Pope's recent Philly visit.
