Ah, summer. A time for breezy afternoons, ice cream, beachy adventures, and promoting the missions of philanthropic partners. But the fact that one of these things doesn’t strike quite the same tone as the others presented SteegeThomson with a creative challenge for our work with Newman’s Own Foundation (NOF). NOF is dedicated to supporting its grantees, not only financially, but in building awareness of their transformational efforts as well.
This summer, they focused on boosting the visibility of the SeriousFun Children’s Network of camps and programs (SFCN), which provides a wide range of unforgettable camp experiences for seriously ill children and their families. We helped NOF celebrate SFCN with an original comic strip series conceived by our team and drawn by SteegeThomson designer Lisa Spiller. Focusing on many aspects of life at camp, the series underlined the normalcy and fun SFCN programs provide to thousands of families, while highlighting NOF’s investment at the same time.
